The Christmas “Grouch” is on The Loose at Alsip Home & Nursery!
A mean-green Christmas “Grouch” is trying to steal Christmas! And what better way to stop Christmas, than to kidnap Santa Claus himself!
Your group will need to uncover all of the Christmas Clues to put a stop to the Grouch’s plans during our Santa Scavenger Hunt. Find Santa. Save Christmas!

Registering For This Event
- Reservation required per participating child – limited to kids 12 & under.
- You must select and adhere to your chosen timeslot: 10:40 AM | 11:20 AM | 12:00 PM | 12:40 PM
- A $7 spot holding fee(s) guarantees your reservation, and $5 will be returned to you on an Alsip Home & Nursery physical Gift Card after the event
- Each participating child receives:
- Scavenger Play Card & Clues
- Meet & Greet with Santa!
- One Photo Strip
- Christmas Craft Upon Completing the Scavenger Hunt
- $5 Alsip Nursery Gift Car
- Please keep in mind groups should not exceed more than 6 people – this includes accompanying adults and non-participating children.
How The Scavenger Hunt Works
- Please be punctual for your selected timeslot and check-in at the front entrance of our stores by providing the name associated with your order.
- The Scavenger Hunt may take anywhere from 30-40 minutes, depending on how quickly you wish to complete it/find the clues.
(The last timeslot group MUST complete their scavenger hunt no later than 2:00 PM, that’s when Santa is flying back to the North Pole.) - From there, each child will receive a Playcard and the 1st Clue to the Santa Scavenger Hunt!
- Travel around the store from one clue to the next, filling out your Playcard with each Christmas Clue sticker you find!
- You’ll make your way through all 10 clues around the store, the last of which you’ll find Santa, saving him from the Christmas Grouch!
- The Scavenger Hunt is self-guided, however if you get stuck – feel free to ask the attendant who checked you in.
- Once your group finds Santa Claus, you’ll get to meet with him, take photos (one photostrip included) and receive your Christmas Craft and $5 Alsip Gift Card.
Scavenger Hunt Rules
- Open to Kids 12 & Under – All children must be supervised by an adult.
- Follow the clues throughout the store to find each item on the list.
- Once you’ve spotted the item/completed the task, mark it off on your Playcard with the appropriate “Christmas Clue” sticker (Ex. If the clue has a candy piece on it, mark that clue off with a candy piece sticker to show that you’ve completed the challenge.)
- Try not to go out of order. If you happen to spot a Christmas clue station, save it until it’s time!
- DO NOT run throughout the store.
