Gingerbread Man Scavenger Hunt (St. John 12 PM)
A Gingerbread man is on the Loose at Alsip Home & Nursery!
A gingerbread man has hidden hints to 10 Christmas clues hidden around Alsip Home & Nursery! Your group will need to uncover them all to complete our self-guided scavenger hunt in order to earn a prize at the end of the Christmas arch!

Registering for This Event
- Reservation required per participating child – limited to kids 12 & under.
- A $7 spot holding fee(s) guarantees your reservation, and $5 will be returned to you on an Alsip Home & Nursery physical Gift Card after the event
- Each participating child receives:
- An activity booklet at the beginning of the hunt
- A goodie bag upon completing the hunt.
- Please keep in mind groups should not exceed more than 6 people – this includes accompanying adults and non-participating children.
How The Scavenger Hunt Works
- Soon after completing your reservation you’ll receive two emails – one confirming your order, and a second with your Event Ticket
- On December 5th you may arrive anytime between 12 PM to 12:30 PM – the scavenger hunt may take anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on how quickly you wish to complete it/find the clues. We’ll be ending your scavenger hunt at 1:45 PM.
- Please check-in at the Christmas arch with your Event Ticket (printed or on your phone) so we can verify your spot (Your Gift Card(s) are free to use in-store or online on whatever you like.)
- From there, each child will receive a Playcard and an Activity Booklet.
- Your Playcard holds the first clue, which will lead you to the 1st of 10 stations.
- You may now start your self-guided scavenger hunt and travel at your leisure.
- Travel around the store from one clue to the next collecting “Christmas clue” stickers to fill out your Playcard.
- After the 10th Christmas Clue is found return to the beginning to collect your Prize Goodie Bag!
- Feel free to take a photo at the “Christmas Arch” and share it on social media with the hashtag #AlsipScavengerHunt
Scavenger Hunt Rules
- Open to Kids 12 & Under – All children must be supervised by an adult.
- Follow the clues throughout the store to find each item on the list.
- Once you’ve spotted the item/completed the task, mark it off on your Playcard with the appropriate “Christmas Clue” sticker (Ex. If the clue has a candy piece on it, mark that clue off with a candy piece sticker to show that you’ve completed the challenge.)
- Try not to go out of order. If you happen to spot a Christmas clue station, save it until it’s time!
- DO NOT run throughout the store.
- Once you’ve finished, bring your Playcard back to the beginning to claim your prize at the Christmas arch! Feel free to post on Instagram with the #AlsipScavengerHunt
