Kingsbury Acres Greenhouse was founded in 2008 as a new branch of Alsip Home & Nursery which was founded in 1969. Alsip brought 40 years of gardening industry experience into a new avenue, wholesale supply by purchasing an existing wholesale grower whom Alsip had been a primary customer to since opening their doors in the late 1960's.

The new wholesale branch boasts over 140,000 square feet under roof of growing space and several acres of outdoor plant production.

An experienced growing, planting and shipping staff with over 100 years of combined experience stayed on board. With the addition of a new sales staff, a committment to expansion of product offerings and a renewed direction in the gardening industry, we at Kingsbury Acres Greenhouse are poised to have many years of growth ahead! 

We are a family business. Pictured above is Bill Christakes, my Dad. As CEO and founder of Alsip Home & Nursery, he leads by example by getting his hands dirty every day.
